New addition to the family. On Super Bowl Sunday we found a kitten that followed us home. We tried to find it's owner, but had no luck. We have since decided to keep her. Her name is Mocha. She is adjusting to our other pets and they to her. She looks black in this picture, but in the sunlight she is a deep chocolate brown.

These are a few of the wild flowers that you see along the road. Each month brings forth a new blooming plant.

A mountain lion paw - it was killing cattle so it was shot. The guys that shot it used a hand gun - yikes. It weighed about 120 pounds. Our schnauzers were very facinated.

Stop the winds! We have had non-stop winds for the past week. A lot of damage to the garden. Most of the plant leaves have been schredded. The locals say that they haven't seen winds like this for over ten years. We've been here a year Feb 16th. When we were here last February it was nothing like this. We lost one large dead tree - in this photo it is the one right behind the well. It fell into another large tree so we had to have someone come in and surgically remove it. The guy did a fantastic job - no real damage to the surrounding plants.
