What's behind the door to the tropical garden?

New walls and paths. And lots of plants

The path turns back to the house.
The open terrace is down on the left.

We shored up both sides of the upper pathway.

Another look.

The cats approve.

The gazebo project is in the home stretch.

We tore out the wood floor, laid concrete, and found a great center design kit. The rest is non-slip tile.

We took a cruise from Panama on Royal Caribbean in March. First stop - Cartagena, Colombia.

Pulling into Aruba.

Wharfside in Curacao. These are the Netherlands Antilles so lots of Dutch influence in the architecture.

Sun drenched Bonaire.

We cut down the six foot divider wall between the kitchen and great room and added a desk.

Creates a nice open feeling. We did this two weeks before Christmas. Masochists!

A new plan for the gazebo.

New walls for the tropical garden walkpath.

Keegan's job was feeding the cats.

Back at Deb and Claude's.

Yummy! Panamanian fishsticks!

Yes, iguanas do cross here. Good thing they move fast.

The gecko hunter.

Mike coming in for a zipline landing.

Will deserved a long neck after a rainy zipline trek.

Hollywood actor Emile Hirsch was on the zipline run with us. Will recognized him right away.

Christmas 2008. On the way to pick up Will, Melissa, and Keegan in Panama City I stopped at our friends Deb and Claude's place on the Pacific.

They're about an hour and a half from Panama City.

Sunset over the Pacific? Nope. Sunrise. Panama's orientation really plays with your sense of east and west.

We'll be visiting often!

Christmas 2008. Sharon helped Ruby and other neighbors host a Christmas party at the school above us on the hill.

Grades 1-8 in one room. Challenging.

The party was a big hit!

This is the traditional dress of the Ngobe Bugle Indian women from young to old.

We extended the bottom terrace three more feet. Should have done this the first time!

Now you can walk over to the studio entrance.

Our gardener brought another orchid.
