Our amaryllis are blooming and the different colors are amazing - this is one of my favorites. Posted by Picasa
The rains have returned and we have really enjoyed our morning walks - this picture if from Monday - we walked for about three hours - the plant behind Michael is huge - not sure what it is, but others that we've seen are twice this size.
Most of the orchids are blooming - this one was a gift from our gardener - he found it on his farm in the jungle.
My gardenias are really blooming - I put the egg in the picture so that you can see how big and beautiful it is. The smell is heavenly - I put them in a dish in the kitchen window so that when I do dishes the fragrance is great! Posted by Picasa

My favorite time of the day is the morning - I love the way the sun casts shadows across the garden
We were having dinner on the terrace and just before the sun set there were thousands of sparkling lights in all the trees - this was the first time we ever noticed this event - the sun must have caught the leaves just right
Another view of the sparkling trees - you can just see the lights if you look real hard - the weather has been absolutely beautiful Posted by Picasa

The dry season is the favorite for flowers - we haven't had rain for over a month so we are doing a lot of watering. We have two natural springs on our property that we use to water the garden.
After two weekends of work the waterfall is nearly done - they will be adding flag stone to the steps so that it will have a more natural appearance and sound. We will put lots of lush tropical plants around the base of the waterfall to make it blend into the hillside. Posted by Picasa
Our new waterfall project begins - these two guys are fun to watch.
After a day and a half they are half way there

The garden room early in the morning - I just love sitting here with my morning coffee - especially if the wind is blowing and I can't sit on the terrace
Posted by Picasa We dine in the new room whenever the wind blows, otherwise we eat on the terrace
This is the point in our morning walks that we turn around - Michael always has to survey the mountain vista
Our neighbor, Bob, as become the proud owner of three geese and a few chickens - we can hear the geese whenever someone comes to visit Bob
The dry season is officially here, Ricardo, our gardener, spends most of his day watering
Posted by Picasa Jag is looking up at me in the office, she has developed the bad habit of jumping into my window boxes to get into the house - I've had to scoop up the remains of spilled planter boxes numerous times - I've started spraying her with water
Michael is doing wonderful after his spinal surgery - he walks two times a day
The trees are flowering
Another mountain range that we see every morning on our walks
Posted by Picasa One of our favorite neighbors, Debra. It is always fun visiting with our friends when we take our walks
